Sidewalk Trees

Urban environments are often seen as symbols of human ambition and control. However, they are inherently temporary and must constantly adapt. Through each photograph, the series explores how urban spaces—seemingly symbols of human control—are ultimately fragile and forced to comply with organic change. By documenting these scenes, I highlight nature’s quiet defiance, reminding us that our cities are transient, reactive, and ultimately not truly built to coexist with life’s unpredictable, slow evolution. I end the series on a nondescript tree unconstrained by man-made constructs. Its the only one I chose to photograph under natural light.
